1-Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo


Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo was composed by C. Ramchandra, 

written by Kavi Pradeep, and performed by Lata Mangeshkar. The 

song commemorates Indian soldiers who died during the Sino-

Indian War in 1962. The song was first performed live by 

Mangeshkar on 27 January 1963 at the National Stadium in New 

Delhi in the presence of President Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and

2-Yeh Desh Hai Veer Jawano Ka – Naya Daur


The song from 1957 film, Naya Daur starring Dilip Kumar, Ajit and 

Vyjayanthimala is another classic song that is regularly a part of 

Independence Day celebrations over the years. Yeh Desh Hai Veer 

Jawano Ka song is sung by Mohammed Rafi and Balbir is an ode 

to the beauty and greatness of the country, India. The song which

3-Mere Desh Ki Dharti – Upkar

4-Maa Tujhe Salaam – Vande Mataram


The title song of 1997 studio album ‘Vande Mataram’ is composed 

by music legend AR Rahman. The song captures the patriotic spirit 

in a perfect way. Though it has been two decades since the song’s
